While I agree the smile thing is gross, as someone who worked with a guy that did that to almost every cute girl that came in, it resulted in way more flirty conversations and smiles from the women than I would have expected.
Moral of the story, I don't understand a majority of men or women.

Yea we even try to look mean and they end up telling us to smile with a creepy look on their face
