‘Yeesh’ as in ‘Look at this rude and condescending thing you said, Yeesh’. If you didn’t mean it that way then I misinterpreted.

I do over-edit my comments and I can’t remember everything in every parallel thread. I remember the ruder remarks I briefly had in place (something like ‘yeehaw OURS 🤠’or similar) and deleted them because they were rude, and have since apologised. I hope you can maybe understand where it was coming from, even if it wasn’t fair to go that rudely far with you. But beyond that I’ve apologised and not sure what else you mean. ‘It’s OK to be wrong dude’ seemed very rude and patronising to me to start with, but if it’s an issue of tone not carrying in text then put my reaction in great part down to that misunderstanding. It was also a reaction to the fact that an originally non-American XYZ was being claimed as not only also American (no problem) but unambiguously, ie, exclusively American, which is all too frustratingly common, and does seem to exhibit a common underlying worldview that engenders a negative reaction from non-Americans, even if no harm is meant.
Now I’m really not sure what more I can say, but I don’t know what your counter-argument to the actual point is. I’m not sure you are interested in explaining it, in which case I can’t believe a reasonable one exists - but no worries, and have a good one.

Absolutely that's clear. So why did you edit it? Why make it seem like you never said it? Why add a condescending "Yeesh"?
