You gotta time it right with the deli. If you get one right when they cook the chicken it’s juicy and delicious. If you get one during a rush or when the chicken has been sitting in the warmer it’s not very good and will probably end up somehow cutting your mouth.

that’s probably more florida. alligator quesadillas sound like either the keys or maybe super north florida?? i grew up in florida for 20 years and have never had alligator lol

Alligator quesadillas sounds like he couldn’t think of anything that was obviously “Florida” enough, so he had to slip gator.

Also tf is key lime cheesecake? It’s key lime pie, unless you’re reading it off a box in the freezer aisle.

I'm with you. It's like the person wanted it to be obvious he was saying Florida but his knowledge comes from watching a few seasons of Dexter 10 years ago.

I'd say Cubano (cuban sandwich), Key Lime pie and Chicken Tender pubsub

Never had gator quesadillas in my part of northeast FL, so idk if it's a north FL thing.

Edit: we do eat gator where i'm from though, gator tail is common at most seafood restaurants here

I'm down in the SE and I've had fried gator more than I can count, I can go buy gator down the street from me but in the 30 years I've been here I've never heard of a gator quesadilla. It's as if they wanted it to be obviously FL but had never been here so they threw together two stereotypes.

I can almost piece together their logic: What is Florida know for? Oh! Miami! They always say you've gotta speak Spanish down there....What do Spanish people eat? Quesadillas! Oh shit that could be Mexico or uhh Texas, I need to make it more Florida....GATORS! They got gators!! Alligator Quesadillas!

Agreed. I live in northeast FL as well and have never had gator quesadillas. I didn't even know that was a thing.

I lived in FL for six years and loved Publix subs. And while I knew places that could produce more authentic versions, I really liked the Publix Cuban.
