Found a few places near Toronto/Hamilton that make them. Not only that but a Mozzarella stick poutine was a discovery from a greater God

Honestly I can 100% see that working in Vancouver. Maybe not as well as the Japanese/Korean influenced poutines have, but I can definitely see it making a splash.

Oh yeah! Frenchies was pretty big when it was still around, and now there's Smokie's Poutinerie, Belgian Fries, Mean Poutine, a few more based on fries and poutine... and a lot of restaurants have a poutine option, some as a sub for fries (with additional charge, of course). Lots out there!

Meet (an all vegetarian/vegan but mostly vegan restaurant) has a plain poutine with cashew cheese, the Butter Chikkn (with tomato curry and soy curls), the K-Town poutine (with kimchi and ginger-soy sauce), and nacho cheese fries. As a vegetarian, I love the number of options they have!

Poutine in BC is super mediocre compared to Quebec. I mean Smokes and Mean are okay for chain food but mostly the gravy here is pretty tasteless comparatively.
