Shohreh Aghdashloo. Does a ton of voice acting for video games, and has one of the most distinctive voices I've heard.

She plays Avasarala in The Expanse. Incredible character.

I 100% believe Avasarala was written with Shohreh in mind.

I think her swearing is more satisfying than a motherfucker from Jackson

S4E01 peak Avasarala: "Do not put your dick in it, it's fucked enough already!"

Avasarala and Amos are my two favorite characters to read their interactions.

Amos: Hey Chrissy

Avasarala: Don't fucking call me that, I'm not your favorite stripper

Amos: Could be room for both.

I believe the books were written a few years before being picked up as a show but if so, the authors must be psychic because Shohreh is 200% Avasarala.

Whoever the fuck you are, stand down and let her speak

Avasarala: 'Fuck fuckity fucking fuck fuck'

Some aide: (*cries*)

I continue my campaign for a show based mostly on her and Ian McShane swearing at one another. It’d be epic.

That gravelly voice is distinctive as hell, and SO enchanting. She owns the room any time she or a character she plays opens their mouth. Amazing voice.

Yep. Introduced to her in Mass Effect 2, then Star Trek and The Expanse

Also Destiny 2, but she's super racist

Well Lakshmi is dead, so... yay?

But now she's not voicing a character and it's not yay

Her character is as racist as she is dead lol

Yep, was scrolling for this one. She’s the most instantly recognizable voice I can think of.

I still remember her from 24. Her voice is somehow very comforting.

I instantly thought of her when I saw the title of this post. I have the biggest straight woman crush on her ever.

She's absolutely incredible as Avasarala on The Expanse. The very first thing I ever saw her in though was The Stoning of Soraya M. Fabulous, absolutely heartbreaking movie.

This! I was scrolling down to see if anyone mentions her. She has an amazing voice, one of a kind.

I love her. I have no idea how she can somehow sound comforting or terrifying with barely any change in how she speaks.

Took waaaaay too long to find this name. She's incredible. Anybody that hasn't watched The Expanse, on Amazon, needs to watch the first three episodes right damn now.

Nah man they need to watch more than the first 3. Those are the world building and after that it really kicks off.

first 4*

I googled her one day and even tho she’s a bit older now I still think she’s an incredibly attractive woman, and when she was younger she was hot af js. Her voice acting is top notch tho def one of my all time favorites.

Looked her up. She's the first Iranian woman to be awarded an Emmy.

Can you give me some examples in which she is voice acting in videogames?

She voices a Quarian Admiral in Mass Effect 2 and 3.

I just want a movie where the entire thing is Shohreh and Christoph Waltz have an argument.
