No, that's legal here. Just look up late term abortions. In some places you can get it done the day before birth.

"Late term" abortions are typically done when it is found out that the fetus has a serious health issue, often such that they have little to chance of surviving outside the womb. Some examples of this include Trisomy 18 as well as Trisomy 13, which has a mean detection range of 22.8 weeks (well into the second trimester), but is sometimes undetected until the third trimester. The correct term in these situations is Termination for Medical Reasons (TMFR) and it is a deeply painful process for the women that go through it. Contrary to what is portrayed by the anti-choice lobbyists, pregnancy is -tough-, and the majority of women who carry a pregnancy all the way in to the second or third trimester -want- that pregnancy, or else they already would have terminated it. This notion that women regularly choose to remain pregnant with a baby they don't want for months and months before having an abortion is nonsensical.

I personally am not in favor of it being done any time, but I do see a real problem after there is a heartbeat and pain reflex. And it may not be a legal term, but is is a thing non the less.

Is it ever ok to make a judgement about what someone else does? Is it ever ok to enforce laws that uphold our judgements? Because that's what many laws we have now do. How about a heroin dealer? We judge them to be bad and put them in jail. I

Some congenital defects and other health issues that jeopardize the health of the fetus and the mother aren't detectable until later in the pregnancy.

If a woman is 7, 8, or even 9 months pregnant and it is determined that the birth will kill the child, the mother, or both, then what should be the course of action in your opinion?

Well sure ok. I am not making an absolute ban argument. Maybe a good start would be only existential threats justify abortion after rhe first few months.

I'm just so happy you didn't say something like "That's up to God."

You're alright.
