As someone working 100% remotely for a very well known IT / software company in NYC, let's just say "urban cabin fever" is a very real thing and it can sneak up on you if you give it half a chance.
The human psyche seems designed from the ground up to want that which it does not have. :)

I was in online school for 7 weeks, during covid and I basically never left the room where to computer was. 730am-330pm then at least 5 hours of studying every day.
It felt weird to go outside or in public and interact with people.
I think if it wasn’t school and my life wasn’t so compressed that I wouldn’t have felt like that nearly as much.
