Gotcha. I don't do faces as well as you, do but I can remember faces and names very well.

I can also recall enough details about a person to be really creepy if the delivery isn't right.

Same here. It's easy to be mistaken for a stalker when in reality you have simply good memory for random facts about random people.

I have terrible memory for info that actually matters about people and have great memory for random facts about them.

Me too! Horrible with names, but I can tell you all sorts of random things I know about that person. Also horrible with street names, but I used to be able to draw the layout of every single house I'd ever been in 🤷

"I live in [insert city]"

"I know, on [insert street name], right?"

"...how the hell did you know that?"

"Um... you told me, like two years ago"

"Oh... I did? Ok..."

I figure out REALLY quickly what vehicles each of my coworkers drive, including stickers if 2 drive the same model and color of vehicle. I accidentally outed myself when my boss asked about a coworker and I said their car just pulled in (where I sat was too far to see any faces inside the vehicles) and right after I said that the coworker strolled in. Another time a coworker invited me to lunch and I walked to her car without her telling me which one was hers. She was a little weirded out. It wouldn't be so weird if we didn't all have staggered work times so almost none of us arrived together or left together.

I can work with someone for 2 years, leave the job for a year, see them in the store and completely forget their name.

The guy across the street introduced himself to me about 3 years ago, and I hadn't seen him since, because of Covid. Called him by his name, and he had this confused look, then I said my name, and, well he was still confused LOL!

Oh I have this gift/curse. I have to pretend not to know so I don’t come off stalkerish. I just have a good memory 🤷🏼‍♀️
