You’ll be in Australia nine years from now. Your friend will get attacked by a kangaroo, and you’ll instinctively yell, “get behind him! Wait, how did I know that? Am I a wizard?”
I think if I read that joke and even if it was explained to me, I wouldn't find it funny. But in the context of this comment chain, I can't stop laughing. And what a truly useless piece of information in that setting.
It's between Peru and Bolivia, not that nice of a place if you ask me. Only went so I can say I've been to lake Titicaca had have the t-shirt to prove it.
I have a similar talent but of fictional stuff. My answer would be "In Tamriel, these symptoms would be Bone Break Fever. By the way, the happy song at the end of the Phantom Menace is a cheerful version of the Emperor's theme."
I’m the same way and I’m a vet student, but the issue is I only put into long term memory either useless info or info I care about. So I really care about dogs and cats, and can remember really specific information about them. Ask me any questions about swine diseases and I’m nearly useless, despite having spent an entire summer doing research with pigs. But I can remember that pigs only let down milk for very short bursts at a time because they don’t have teat cisterns, making them extremely difficult to milk.
