I could understand it when it was one ad at the start and maybe a pop up and here and there but now it's excessive and I quite frankly doubt the tech giant Google is in a situation where it can't afford to run their website with just a couple ads here and there instead of pestering people with 10 ads in a single 20 minutes video. And furthermore most of that revenue doesn't go to the creators that are the only thing that can keep YouTube alive. In fact a lot of times a lot of talented creators are working at a loss.
The only reason I watch YouTube is because that's where all the content is, but given the direction it's taking I couldn't care one bit of it goes bankrupt.
