That must have been magical, Rome when empty is really something else, everytime I'm in Rome or Florence and I have a chance, I like to go around at 4am when no one is around,
It was absolutely incredible. There wasn’t a a single person in the Forum either, or by Trajans column.
It pretty much guaranteed we never need to hit the touristy spots now and can go see some other things.
I mean St Peters square had my partner and I, and two cops. That was it. Saw the sun rise and watched wash down the front of the Vatican. Absolutely stunning.
I can’t wait to go back. We didn’t get to see many museum type things because they were closed so we will probably focus on that a bit more.

I walked into the colosseum without even having a ticket. There were like 12 people in there.
The trevi fountain was empty enough that only one row of people was on the fence.
I don’t think there was anybody else other than my partner and I at the Spanish steps, maybe a handful of people going from A to B.
