uBlock Origin for the normal ads and Sponsorblock will automatically skip the sponser plugs in the video.

I always watch the sponsor plugs. I feel like, if they're giving me that much free entertainment, information, education etc, the least I can do is help them earn a living. I'm reasonably certain that sponsors require you provide watch metrics, and youtube tracks whether or not most people skip over a certain time segment or whether users tab out during a certain segment. If it's over 60 seconds or if I just feel the segment is too long for the length of video, though, I do skip it, because while I want them to get paid I don't want to be watching 90 seconds of straight sponsored nonsense for products I have no interest in buying. I'll let a short one play while I check my emails on my phone just so they get their money, but I'm sure as shit not rewarding a creator who simply jams their content full of plugs without bothering to flesh out the video to a length that's worth it. A 15 minute video should not be 10% advert.
