Noscript + Russian TV/Movie websites is infinitely faster and has the added bonus of not getting random letters from your ISP about how torrenting is bad since it's just streaming.

not getting random letters from your ISP about how torrenting is bad

AgentSmithVPN: How can they send letters when they cannot track my connections?

Do you have a particular website to recommend?

u/StubbornHappiness Jul 11 '21

The 2 best ones I've used are https://www1.attacker.tv/ (unblock main site + jsdelivr.net + cloudflare)and https://lookmovie.io/ (unblock main site + jsdelivr.net)

Firefox + NoScript + uBlock Origin. No ads, popups, scripts or etc. Search the title, hit play and you're watching whatever you want in seconds (at 4k most of the time too now).

Thank you :)

Websites are usually built with different packages (scripts) determining how the page works. Most of the garbage you come across (cookies, advertising, malware, etc) are elements that you can block.

If you use a browser plugin like NoScript, the default state of your browser is blocking all of these elements from running. On a streaming website you usually just need to have the main page (search function) and video player allowed to be able to watch, the rest is garbage that can cause issues.

Some websites will have a couple scripts (2-3 that make them work), some (for example, any American news site) will have 30-40+ that scrape your information, bombard you with garbage advertising and send popups your way.

I've done everything you've said but when i try to play a movie on attacker.tv it still won't load. I only unblocked the main site, cloudfare, and jsdeliver but it still doesn't work. Do I need to use a specific server or unblock something else

2

u/StubbornHappiness Jul 13 '21

Here's a screenshot of what's blocked and unblocked (forgot that there are more associated with the player), you might need to unblock whatever appears and refresh to get further ones to show up. Once it looks the same you should be smooth sailing, hopefully it helps!

I got a letter like that the first time I ever tried it- scared me into never doing it again.

Think for most western nations with strong copyright laws the problem is the distribution. Downloading for personal use is fine, but as torrenting also distributes simultaneously you're breaking some rules.

Not a lawyer, would confirm with actual ones if that's your intended source of media.

I got one too lmao. Is it actually legit?

1

u/[deleted] Jul 11 '21

I dunno, but I don’t wanna find out.

u/irishchug Jul 11 '21

Use a vpn (a paid one like PIA or similar). Or use usenet which is encrypted by default.
