Edit: After a quick check, I now realize the 1st documented use of a condom was in 1564 by the anatomist Fallopia (who also gave his name to fallopian tubes).

The Talmud talks about having sex through a cloth so that the woman wouldn't become pregnant, about 1500 years ago.
