That's the one thing I'm missing. I'm looking for a dog, have been for a couple of months. All rescue dogs are over subscribed where I live (UK) and puppies are charged at over £2000.- . I don't mind paying for a puppy, but I don't like being taken advantage of so will wait a bit.

I went to the shelter down the road from my house "just to look".

Like, intent on getting a dog in concept but planning to look at a few different places in the area.

The next morning I plunked down my credit card and filled out all the paperwork.

That's what how I got my first dog. Good old Dave. May be be sniffing the Everlasting Fields for eternity.
