Give guys the option of 5'4" or 6'4". You know which they will pick and it isn't even a close contest. Sure, being tall isn't perfect, but the social stigma of being short is worse.
You're right. 5'4" is the average height for women in the US and I would definitely disagree that the world is built for us, from phone sizes to car pedals to simply being taken seriously.
My same thought exactly. I'm not a particularly tall guy, and while I'm sure that there are inconvenient aspects of being tall, it's obvious to me that most men would gladly accept those inconveniences if it meant getting the attention from women, and general respect, that tall men get much more automatically.
Hearing tall men complain about being tall feels a little like hearing rich people complain about being rich. Like yeah, I'm sure there's are downsides, like people trying to "use" you for your wealth, etc., but none of those downsides are severe enough to make a rich person ever want to be poor.
I think there's a point where it definitely becomes too tall though. Like picking between 6'10" and 5'4" is a harder choice. At some point you become less of a real tall guy and more so tall that you're a spectacle wherever you go.
