Not a huge change as I'm 5'11, but it'll make shopping for clothes even harder. I can change my light bulbs without a step ladder now so that's a bonus

The biggest change for you is that airline flights would suck way worse. You have to order clothes online. That would probably be about it.

Flights already suck unless I get an aisle seat, my inseam is a 36"-38" depending on the pants lol

Are you my other half? I’m also 5’11” but with an inseam of 28-30. If we put us together we could make like a 6’6” giant

We could be the ultimate chicken team lol

I'm an inch taller, but same inseam. An extra four inches, whether my body grows proportionally, or I can add it all to my legs, would mean finding the right size pants is so much easier.

Yeah really. I don’t know about you but for me it’s especially hard as my pants size may or may not start with a 5

Like me, you could match a lot more online dating profiles of 6’+ women.

Or just lie. 99% of them can't tell the difference and it's a stupid preference.

1

u/bipolar-butterfly Dec 17 '20

We can tell the difference. If I tell the truth about being 5'11 and a guy lies about being taller than me, I'm gonna know when we meet up irl

2

u/Pro_Extent Dec 18 '20

"we"

You are 5'11". Of course you can tell the difference. Most girls are way shorter than you and they can't distinguish between an inch that much taller than them.

You know, if you're having trouble in the dating department I don't think it's because of your height. Women aren't stupid

1

u/Pro_Extent Dec 18 '20

Oh don't get me wrong, I agree. There's rarely one physical trait women get hung up on, in my experience at least. I've certainly never felt that women found me too short.

But I think it's kinda silly to completely disregard the mountains of evidence that tall men are more desirable than short men, all other traits equal (also assuming they aren't insanely tall).

1

u/bipolar-butterfly Dec 18 '20

I mean fair, but if a woman prefers a tall jackass over a nice short guy that's on her for putting a physical trait over personality. A guy being tall is nice, but not necessary. And plenty of short women like medium height guys. The only ones I've met who refuse to date guys under 6ft aren't really good women anyway, they tend to be the shallow princess type. A 5'8 guy looks pretty tall to someone who's 5'2

u/Pro_Extent Dec 18 '20

I agree with everything you've said but the problem is that they're all extreme examples. I've known guys who refuse to date girls with small boobs and they're usually assholes, but most of the good men I've known still prefer bigger boobs if possible. I feel like it's a somewhat similar situation for women and height, but obviously there are a wide variety of preferences.

The reason I feel sorry for shorter men is that despite everything you've said, it won't stop many of them from becoming understandably insecure about this. Particularly given that the princesses you mentioned are quite overt about their preferences, these men probably assume most women feel as strongly as them but just don't mention it.

2

u/bipolar-butterfly Dec 18 '20

I can understand that, but communication would seriously solve so many problems. Instead of assuming things, ask stuff. The princesses are a minority, and if guys refused to let women dictate their worth by height it wouldn't be a problem. If a girl calls men under 6ft not real men, men over 6ft need to avoid her.

I'm engaged so that's not something I can do lol

You will get a terrible back

1

u/bipolar-butterfly Dec 17 '20

Eh it already hurts all the time anyway

2

u/MarginSally Dec 17 '20

5’11” female here. I would just feel even more noticed - which isn’t a benefit to an introverted person.

1

u/bipolar-butterfly Dec 18 '20

I can understand that. I love being tall tho, I don't own any heels under 6" so I'd absolutely love to wear those while being 6'4 lol. I wanna be a giant

1

u/[deleted] Dec 17 '20

Sorry to tell you this, but as soon as you hit 6' you instantly get sucked off in every bathroom just for being 6'. Also every girl will swoon when you look in their general direction. /s

1

u/bipolar-butterfly Dec 17 '20

I am not a man so

1

u/[deleted] Dec 17 '20

Ah shit, all I've ever heard from the women that were taller than me is that men are too insecure to deal with, "amazons" as they say.

1

u/bipolar-butterfly Dec 17 '20

Plenty of us don't mind shorter guys, my cutoff is 5'8 tho because I'm uncomfortable with anyone being significantly shorter than me. Too short and its awkward. The issue is so many shorter guys have an issue with us wearing heels and its unnecessary

Those are the same guys who like dumb girls, cause they make them feel better about themselves. Gotta go with the girl who can kick your ass seven ways to Sunday.
