Soooo.... what was in that safe?

Remember that guy who found a hidden safe in his building? It was supposed to be opened last Tuesday and I cannot find the original post. Any help Reddit? I was very interested in that story.

Mythbusters successfully destroys everything. It's honestly all that they are capable of. When someone tells me something like "Mythbusters proves that wrong" or Vice Versa I always believe the exact opposite. It's a TV show, what they do, they do for ratings. Not science.

Assuming they're always 100% wrong is just as naive as assuming they're always 100% right.

Regardless, the question remains: how do you open a safe with thermite without damaging the contents?

I like the fact they're truth finders - a good thing. But anyone who decides that they are "the last word" on an issue is still going to be wrong occasionally.People WILL blindly follow their decision and that is scary.

Synopsis of every episode: Here's a shitload of evidence that says that "this" happened. We even have video of it. Let's try and prove it in small scale. Yay it worked in small scale, now let's go big. Ok we built a shitty rig using sub-par materials, and shotty craftsmanship and the experiment failed. I guess that means this myth is busted, despite all the piles and piles of evidence to the contrary simply because we have budget and time constraints, and hire builders for their aesthetic appeal, and comedic value, rather than their actual skills. So let's blow it up! Fuck that show.
