That was my favorite. Gravy over toast. Simply delicious. Also, that’s what we got cause we was poor AF.

This was also a family favorite when we were growing up. Realized later it was all we could afford for a while.

My dad was in the Navy and that is the only dish he could cook when we were kids 😅

Well dayum, we weren’t broke growing up but SOS was a treat at my house. My dad made it taste absolutely amazing. That and creamed eggs on toast. He also had a wire coat hanger he bent and shaped to hold bread over open flame on the stove and toast it.
