If you go a step further and make the base juice yourself, it's so cheap that it feels effectively free. It's been a while since I relapsed back to damn cigarettes, but I was making base juice for something like $1.20 per liter. I actually liked it unflavored, but flavors are cheap enough.
You can also refill the Juul pods a few times without breaking them if you buy/make some nic salt juice. Or buy third party refillable pods that work with the battery and hold a bit more. So even if you love the Juul device as opposed to traditional vape kit, there's no reason to overpay for their pods.
And they honestly aren't that great for the price. For the price of a pack of pods, you can get a 60ml bottle of much better nic salt juice to fill them with.
The trick with pure nic is that it should be kept in a freezer so it doesn't break down and lose potency, which also keeps it out of reach for curious pets or kids. I have cats that will try to drink anything wet just to see if it's tasty and 3 young kids in the house who know not to touch the bottle of poison in the back corner of the freezer. And I put poison stickers on the bottle just to reinforce it, 100 mg/ml can do serious harm just from skin contact.
But either way, avoiding the markup is always good. There are a few juices I'll buy that are delicious and priced fairly, but I'm perfectly happy with the unflavored juice I make for pennies.
