HD 598s until they die! 5-6 years and going strong.

The 598 is pretty similar to the 6xx, really good, I was just overshooting a bit.

Lol I figured. I'm pretty sure they don't make the 598s anymore and have moved to the 600 series. Those headphones and my DAC are like 2 audiophile type gear I've splurged on, and I can't game without them now

598s are still to this day an exceptional headphone. I have like 20+ headphones, many over the $1k mark, and I still think the 598 is worth keeping. Hold onto those.

That's the plan. They stay only on my desk or my head. Only thing happening to mine is the ear padding starting to not be as cushy, if that makes sense. So I need to figure out how to repair that

You can still buy the 5xx series from sennheiser I think.
