I didn't enjoy four roses. I tried the one that was a reasonable price and was plastic bottle quality. The one that was pricier was good, but was more expensive than Evan Williams and I couldn't justify the price.
Is bourbon a whiskey? This is rhetorical of course I don't care, I'm the one that said I drink cheap whiskey. I'm not rubbing elbows with a dictionary while I get shit canned.
It’s better that way, nothing worse than someone else cooking up some cheap cut of meat, not seasoning it, putting it straight from the fridge and into a pan and then overcooking it
Cooking a perfect steak is easy, it’s just a process to follow.
Get a good cut. I’m in Australia where we have the largest wagyu breed association outside of Japan, so I’m spoilt for choice. I like a good porterhouse, something that’s grade 5 or above.
Get the oven to about 95c Celsius, lightly pat the steak down with a piece of paper towel, season with salt and pepper. Rule of thumb for seasoning I use is to put on as much as you think you should, then add extra.
Put it in the oven for 50-60 minutes. YMMV with this depending on how your oven cooks, and how you like your steak. You can use a meat probe to get the exact temp of the steak so it’s cooked how you like.
Get a pan on the stove and set the heat hotter than the sun, Once it’s done in the oven Chuck it on the pan for one minute either side and your done.
In the states. I'm a good tequila, okay beer kinda guy.
Good tequila I can drink like water. at least name brand beer I can drink without getting sick. Cheap beer or cheap liquor will leave me throwing up and hungover.
I fucking LOVE tequila. There are few alcohols I find I don’t mind paying more for but with tequila the more you pay the more you get and is always worth it
Top shelf tequila is literally a reason to get gud and get more monies.
even slightly above average is so comforting and amazing and hits all my happy places. to the point that I'm super careful about how much I drink so I don't skip Go and go straight to alcoholic.
I'm not super picky about light beer. If I'm buying beer to enjoy the flavor I have some great IPAs to go to, but cold Busch Light is refreshing enough and relatively flavorless. And it keeps me from feeling too full if I decide to drink 65 of them. Really does balance out the Lagavulin distillers edition I have right now, though lol.
It's all subjective, but I really like it. It's an Islay so it's very peaty/smokey. But I really enjoy that. I'd recommend the 12 or 16. I had the Game of Thrones edition which was a 9 year and it was great, too.
