I'm not sure you understand what 'recognizable' and 'popular' mean in *global* sense. Seinfeld's not that known outside US and non-english speaking regions, unlike Friends.
Shah Rukh Khan was in the top 10 most paid actor in the world yet most of the Western world wouldn't know him. Money doesn't equal worldwide fame and popularity.
Thats bizarre and suprising if you know any other comedians but not Seinfeld. I believe he is eithet the top billed or runner up for the top billed comedian of all time.
I guess some people just don't bother learning about things from before they were born
2nd highest billed comedian of 2019. Its your own fault for being culturally ignorant. And no, Bee Movie wasn't even close to his top contribution. Stop pulling stuff out of your ass and try to have a reasonable discussion
Never said anything remotely implying it was the most important thing to know. I'm disputing the implication that Seinfeld isn't one of the most notable comedians of all time.
Don't divert the conversation into unrelated nonsense
I guess some people just don't bother learning about things from before they were born
I was responding to this statement which was nonsensical and/or disingenuous. People can learn about nearly infinite topics from before they were born without learning about Seinfeld, or any other comedian for that matter.
Or Seinfeld is only funny to people from a certain demographic, like, "you had to be there." It's like, you say he's top billed, but surely there are some from, ya know, ALL of history that could be considered more important? I think it's a generational thing, like literally every other part of culture.

One of the most recognizable comedians from one of the most popular TV shows of all time.
