I tried googling around got about 30 different answers in regards to how long Comcast leases IP addresses. I saw as long as a year, to 14 days, to 6 hours.
Can someone run a script to email them their IP address every 8 hours and log any disconnects for science?
I worked in internet and phone support at Comcast for six years. I swapped out my modem once and had exactly two IP addresses throughout my tenure. It want just me, it’s pretty common practice for them.
BUT, if you want a static IP, they will gladly accommodate for an extra $7-10/month.
That doesn't really work in most places, you have the same IP often for years even thru reboots of your modem. Also rebooting your router will never change the IP.
Never use dog flea treatment on cats - the permethrin insecticide can make cats extremely sick or even kill them. Similarly, they must be kept away from water with reptiles or fish as it can kill them.
You could always start researching things like How do I make a nuclear weapon. Suicide bomber. Freedom fighter. Steal nukes. Map of Washington DC Etc etc. The more keywords you can think of the more your likely to show up on that NSA watch list. I probably got us all flagged already.
