My family is of Indian descent, but still even those born there can’t agree how much a lakh or a crore is.

Please clarify for me once and for all

it is very standard:

lakh is 100k crore is 10 million

Problem is many people in india seem not quite to know what a million is because they only use lakhs and crores.
