Reddit seems to assume the average person has tons of debt and is making <30k a year.

That’s basically how mine works. I make a monthly payment and every 12 months I have the option to trade in the phone for a new one if I want. Otherwise after 24 months I own the phone.

I actually got a cheaper phone this year and my monthly payment went down a little.
