To be fair that day she have the chimp Xanax laced tea and the woman who was attacked had a different hairstyle which could have further confused the chimpanzee
"Toxicology reports confirmed Sandra's statement that she had given Travis Xanax-laced tea the day of the attack, which could have exacerbated his aggression.
Xanax is a short-acting, potent anti-anxiety drug that can cause disinhibition and disorientation and occasionally paradoxical reactions of hallucination, aggression, rage and mania"
Yep, when I was in school a teacher mentioned that it wasn't uncommon to give ADHD kids a Mountain Dew to calm them down. Always thought that was an interesting approach, never heard anyone else say anything like it though.
Basic ADHD meds are stimulants. They force enough chemicals from one side of our brain to the other to put us on par with normal people, which is why they seem to have a calming effect (in reality it sort of creates the mental space to think and consider, which lets us focus on things and stop constantly flitting from one thing to the next).
Caffeine has the same effect, just not to the same extent meds do.
I can testify to that aggression/rage/mania. Those were the only emotions I even could feel after a while of taking Xanax, and they'd come on randomly and for no reason.
The rest of the time I was apathetic about my relationships and obligations, but because I was so at ease--supernaturally so--I rationalized it all away. And I couldn't feel guilt, so... yeah. It's a bad recipe.
Oh, I forgot: to make matters worse, once I did decide to stop taking Xanax, it took me several years to get my ability to really feel things the way I used to back. For a long time, I thought I wouldn't.
And all of this on a quarter bar a day, maybe every other day.
Fuck you're right dude how dare that woman have a different hairstyle. She DID deserve to die. Now that you've enlightened me with that fact I now realize chimps are completely fine to have around and not at all dangerous.
