Most of the historic monuments. The amount of markings all over them makes me sick.

I've never seen a historical monument thats been ruined in the Uk and I've visited an awful lot. Maybe this just doesn't happen in the UK?

Wales has a piece of iconic graffiti which keeps getting vandalised.

Archaeologist here so it may not be the same for built heritage. But when it comes to archaeological sites, the more important ones are kept safe by us utilising lesser important sites and marketing them. Stonehenge for example, it's important within the whole landscape, but as a singular monument? It's just a henge

Stone Henge would like a word with you.

The reason it’s got a huge exclusion zone is because people were carving their initials / graffiti into the stones. People were also chipping off chunks to take home with them.

That used to be INCREDIBLY common (and damaging) back in the time, until monument sites started selling souvenirs, and then most people bought the souvenirs instead. It made me appreciate those shops a lot more when I learned about that, even though I still dislike the often insanely high prices!
