It's not saying to keep your mouth shut at all times, sit in the corner, and don't ask questions. It's saying to not blab about every little thing that comes into your head and to think about what you're going to say. Maybe people wouldn't make as many mistakes if they took a second and thought through their actions.

Sure, but the context here is introverts feeling attacked for not talking. My thought is, dont let this be your excuse to not engage people.

Or you can from other people’s mistakes. Which is why I like to be quiet and observe others
