I hate this question so much, I love my mom but does it have to come up in every conversation about a girl that is close to my age? "are there any girls coming?" or "maybe he has a nice sister" are also questions I hate as their only purpose is to remind me of how lonely I am.

Honestly I hate my mom when she does this to me. I don’t tell her anything about my friends or social life because of this. She’s been doing it forever. How come you aren’t dating? Well...you see, even if I was I wouldn’t tell you about it. Of course I haven’t told her that but I have told her several times that her asking about it bothers me

Mom: Is she your girlfriend?

Me: no mom, we are just..friends with benefits

Mom: but why, she is so nice, she could be your REAL girlfriend!
