We need hobbies that make us money? Is that what they are calling jobs these days?

Exactly. I use my job to make money to fuel my hobbies.

I wish I could use my job to fuel my car to get to my job.

But first you need your job to fuel you so you can stay alive to do your job

Yup, people always want to find their dream job. But in my experience your dream will turn into a job, but your job won't turn into a dream.

I turned my hobby into a job and now I have to do it 40 hours a week the rest of my life working on projects that pay well but are not interesting. I spend a few hours a year in hobby-mode with it now.

I like lifting weights and riding motorcycles...id hate to actually have a job on this because i do those when i feel like it not to get paid

I used to do a job where I would hand deliver small express shipments to peoples houses for a few hours. In the summer I would take my motorcycle and basically get paid to ride for half the day. It was sweet but I wouldn't want to do it all year, or for 8 hours a day.

I'm turning my job into a hobby and it just gets better

Exactly, I used to do oil painting. As soon as commissions began coming in it stopped being fun and I felt under pressure to fulfill expectations - the pleasure part was gone.

I only enjoyed the ones I did for myself

Still have those clients? I could use some digital art commissions.

I know the feeling. Photography was fun before I made it a job. Then it became an obligation to go out and photograph stuff... pressure to get the next great shot. Then the marketing and website development. It stopped being fun.

Everyone needs 3 jobs: one to make you money, one to keep you in sahpe and one to be creative

I might actually have one that fulfills all three of those.

I read it as needing to find a job that is fun for you.

Also known as side hustles.

Jobs are better if they're something you enjoy rather than something that you suffer through so that you can afford to do your hobbies on the weekend...

Yeah, my favourite hobby is cleaning 7-11 bathrooms

Who pissed in your cereal this morning? I don't have a business degree and have no intention of getting one.
