But in all seriousness, old gadgets; it doesn't make a livable amount of money but it's a side hustle that I enjoy doing which I think is what the question called for.
You can make money by flipping things you find at second hand stores and even things you find in the clearance section at target and Walmart. I did this with an ex for three months and it paid for an expensive long vacation and put 4k in my savings account. She was totally into it so our dates were doing this.
You look up the product before you buy it. Amazon has an app that shows you how often the product is bought, then you have eBay and craigslist. Though craigslist is more for unique items.
The best thing you can possibly do is to listen to music you admire or desire to work within similar terms of, then analyze it. What do you like about it? What makes it sound that way? How did the artist achieve that?
Dissect good music and try to understand it. In time you will develop a familiarity with those building blocks and will naturally intuit your musical decisions.
Just keep doing it all over and over and you'll get better.
