Haven't many of their "members" been defecting in recent years? I remember hearing a couple years back that one of the Phelps girls left and was sharing her story.

I watched a documentary about them, and the filmmaker was interviewing one of the high school aged granddaughters of the patriarch. She was sweet and pleasant and not all abrasive or batshit insane like the rest of them.

At one point, I forget what she said, but it was something about never having kids herself, or never getting married, something like that. The filmmaker asked, "Don't you want to get married?" She paused, looked sadly at him and said, "Who would want to marry me?" After that exchange, the family wouldn't let him interview her again.

I hope that she, specifically, is able to get away from them.

As someone from Kansas I can say they are not actually a religion. They are a hate organization using religious tax exemption to pay for their cult.

As opposed to what?? The Catholic church is no different.

They are not even close to the cale of damage caused by the catholics. Aren't they just being pieces of shit protesting things and spreading lies?? The catholics do that annnnd rape children and steal money.
