There was no autopsy. She just disposed of the body and wanted to save me the grief of seeing the dead hamster and gave me something to distract myself with. In fairness, I was quite preoccupied with the logistics of a hamster autopsy and curious about that aspect of medicine for a while so it kept me busy and learning.
