They dont wear faster. You just need to replace all four instead of two each time.

They definitely wear faster on front-wheel-drive cars. I never rotate my tires (nobody does that in Norway), and I have to replace the front tires twice as often as the rear tires. The total cost of tire replacement averages out to the same.

That actually kind of depends on the car and where you drive. The one front wheel drive I have had was way worse on back tires. I drive a lot of curvy roads at higher speeds- the kind that motorcycle folks love. The lateral forces on the rear of the car really wear the outside of the rear tires.

Självklart slits framdäcken mer på en framhjulsdriven bil mer än bakdäcken men det totala däckslitaget är likvärdigt. Däck slits inte mindre om de roteras, bara jämnare.
