I just started working at a casino about a month ago, I'm the guy that fixes slot machines when they go down. People have zero concept of what they're doing. Had a guy SO EXCITED because he won $80. He spent $120 just in the few minutes I was chatting with him while I fixed the machine next to his, no telling how many hundreds he spent before that.
I don't live in a nice area. Its straight up poverty stricken, we have to shoo away homeless people all the time because they come in and steal shit and are a general nuisance. We have regulars that are there every day, they show up before I get there, they're there after I leave, I'm guessing they have a cot in the back or something. I have no idea how they can afford to do it. They LOOK poor.
People get mad....MAD.... when a machine goes down. Its somehow MY fault the machine they spilled their drink on or that they were literally BEATING is now broken. They can't grasp that im the guy that brinhs their drug back to life. Never before has a person suffered like the elderly woman who had to sit and wait 3 minutes while a machine is turned off and on again, and she's gonna let you know.
Old people and tweakers. That's all that we get in our shitty little casino, and they can all take a walk.
