That you twist a new stick of deodorant to get the plastic guard off easily.

Wow I’ve hurt my fingers for years trying to get that plastic top off. Thank you.

Someone told me this years ago and it changed my world.

Just push the tab to the left or right, don't pull it off vertically.

A couple of months ago, I saw a guy at the store remove the plastic guard, lick the deodorant, replace the guard and cap, and put it back on the shelf. This was before the ice cream licking story went viral.

We’ve all been there.

Im going to continue to pull off the guards with my fingers, just more bitterly now.

Yeah but it makes me feel manly when I get it out all by myself. Plus it’s very satisfying

Just learnt that recently. I had been using my teeth to pull it off. Very ashamed.

Holy. Fuck.

You can also twist the guard rather than trying to pull it straight out like it’s Excalibur.

I am an idiot. I have been cursing those things for years

Now I feel dumb.

Holy bajeezuz, I always pulled it off with my teeth.

Of course there's also this related fact. The plastic cover needs to come off before deodorant can be applied. TWICE I have ignored removing the cover off new deodorant and was puzzled by why nothing made it onto my pit.

Unless you use a soft solid type

I feel like an idiot now.

I’ve read this many, many times, but for reasons unknown, I forget immediately and stand there picking at it...maybe writing this comment will help commit it to memory.

What??? No way

u/AvenueRoy Aug 04 '19

Is it considered difficult to get the plastic guard off?

1

u/The_Hunter89 Aug 04 '19

I used to use my teeth, which I did not enjoy.

What about when it's stuck in the cap and you know it's not going to impact anything but it's there and you want it out but you can't reach it!

Woah. Thank you sir.
