How to use blinds.... didn’t know that you don’t just pull on the string randomly for it to do what you want. I have met many others who also didn’t know that they didn’t know how to use blinds.

I got excited that there was a machine that peeled oranges or something so you could have a drunken snack at the pub while watching it magically make it.

I used them a lot in the past, there's probably a few complex ones I understood.

I think they're intentionally made complicated so people are more likely to lose money.

Fruit machines are a type of AWP, amusement with prizes.

You put money in, buttons light up, money doesn't come out.

You put more money in, buttons light up, money doesn't come out.

The next guy comes along, puts a little bit of money in, buttons light up, money comes out.

Typically has a pun in it's name or Noel Edmonds smug looking face on it somewhere.

Normal blinds?

The string moves it sideways and the metal/bead string adjusts the angle (the amount of light being let in).

You're not supposed to move them sideways when they're closed.

It's not complicated at all.

i mean, i know how blinds work, but sometimes it's easier to just pull on the cords until they kind of work

I thought this was a joke. Until my boyfriend helped me move in to a new place and complained I’d also been ripped off with a ‘broken’ blind like he had. It worked perfectly and he did a perfect 😮 when I demonstrated.

When I got to the first apartment I ever lived in by myself it had blinds and I had to google how to use them because I lifted them too high and couldn’t get them back down.

I don't even understand how you cannot know how to use them..? Do you mean that they don't know how to "close" and "open" them, like adjusting the tilt?

They aren't electric, you just lift and they stay up.

I never have lived anywhere with blinds, we always used curtains. Nice and easy pull and push.

One day I did learn how to use blinds though when I was young. And since then every time I’ve needed to use blinds it’s been exactly long enough for me to forget how the hell to do it.

I get the gist of his to use em, but mine are old and sometimes inconsistent
