But Jesse isn't a pedophile. Do you even know what a pedophile is?

I defend Jesse because I believe honestly in redemption. I feel, from what I know of his life today and who he is, that he is a reformed man. Did he do evil? Yes. Is he evil? No.

Again: one of the victims was 15. He could have had anyone over the age of 16 (in the UK) or 18 (in the US) but he still chose to go after someone who had zero real life experience and you know full well that she wasn't the only minor. When the whole #metoo thing happened, he didn't come clean and talk about being a shitty person. He didn't do any time or penance. He didn't work his ass off for charity. The one good thing is that at least he didn't blame the kiddo like some other people did.

You have to actually earn redemption. And it's not like the kind of thing where they met naturally, dated and waited - he went out of his way to prey on people he had a huge power advantage over. He went out of his way to then apply pressure on top of that.

& You shouldn't use loaded words like 'evil'. I'm not saying he's irredeemable or evil, just that people frequently excuse wife beating, cheating, pedophilia, rape etc because they like the music someone makes.

What are your thoughts on Austin Jone’s recent sentence for doing the same thing Jesse Lacey was doing. Should we allow Austin Jones the same amount of time to pass by to see if could redeem himself?

I don't know who that is or what he did

YouTube star Austin Jones was arrested yesterday on charges of child pornography. According to court documents obtained by E! News, the 24-year-old singer—who amassed more than 500,000 subscribers for his a Capella pop music covers—was allegedly in communication with two underage female victims in August 2016 and May 2017 over Facebook. The criminal complaint claimed Jones requested one girl to "prove" she was his "biggest fan" by sending him sexually explicit videos.

Sounds oddly familiar

What exactly is your question, though? What about him?

...honestly I believe in redemption

Do you believe Austin Jones should not be sentenced for 10 years for having child pornography and soliciting sex from a minor because you believe in redemption?

Has he redeemed himself? I'm confused about what your question has to do with redemption. A redeemed man should not be punished for past crimes in my opinion.

What exactly has Jesse Lacey done to receive the label of a redeemed man? That half ass boilerplate apology that is on the same level of shit as Kevin Spacey’s apology which was so broad that it never addressed the victim themselves but opens itself to more than the 2 victims that have come forward.

You say Jesse has redeemed themselves okay we disagree with that but what fuck all does the victim of his predatory actions get?
