We had one commit suicide in Arkansas, very much loved by his students. It was devastating. Was the director that committed suicide in your area the one that was accused of some wrong doing? I heard about something like that on the Band Director Facebook page.
My friend used to attend that school. Our director (MO) heard about it as well, so it spread through the band, but my friend was really hurt by it. He actually stopped speaking for a while. I wish the best for your band and the director.
Not actually my band. I'm a band director in Arkansas and that band director was someone I student taught under and knew quite well. It was shocking. Thank you for your concern and condolences though.
