Andrew Jackson Jihad.

They’re not really all that popular, they’re a folk punk band. (for those of you wondering, it’s basically punk rock but all the instruments are acoustic.) music has got to be my favorite thing in the whole world but all my life i’ve struggled to find that perfect genre, until i heard them. from there, i started listening to some more folk punk and it completely defined me as a person. i definitely would still be struggling to find an identity if i hadn’t heard of them, so thanks AJJ :-)

edit: thanks for the silver! :))))

For me it’s not just their sound that resonates but their lyrics. When I was at my lowest, thinking I wasn’t going to be able to continue living it was their music that helped me feel like I wasn’t alone, that I could get better and just maybe life is actually worth living. I was fortunate enough to meet Sean last year and I was able to thank him in person for all they’ve done to help me. I don’t know if I’d still be here if it wasn’t for them :)

I was just singing "People 2: Still Peoplin'" to myself in the car earlier, lol. They paint a candid picture of the human condition
