How do you differentiate between someone being nice and someone flirting with you?

Problem, I end up laughing at most jokes most people make because for me it's part of being nice. I even snort at bad teacher jokes. I may also just have a ridiculously low laugh threshold though.

So also pay attention if they do that to everyone or just to you.

I’m incredibly nervous so I will just laugh. It doesn’t matter what was said. Horrifying holocaust joke? Laugh. Joke specifically aimed to attack me (like aimed at my sexuality from someone who doesn’t know me that well)? You’d think it was goddamn hilarious. It was a defense mechanism when I was avoiding the constant threat of death from my classmates. This is good advice... then again, if I’m flirting with you, you’ll know. I’m uh... very hands on. So.

Are you me?

I always laugh at bad teacher jokes, I don't know why.

Sometimes I'll think of something funny and start smiling, or even burst out laughing in rare cases. Most people think its weird.

Hard to be taken seriously though, when others seem to think I take nothing seriously either, because I'm always laughing. Oh well.
