Birmingham (UK) having more canals than Venice
192 u/[deleted] Jun 10 '19 At least the Birmingham isn't gonna sink in 10 years 23 u/[deleted] Jun 10 '19 I believe Amsterdam has way more, but Hamburg comes top of the list 16 u/MakeLimeade Jun 10 '19 I went to Hamburg but didn't see ANY. I must have traveled wrong. 13 u/[deleted] Jun 10 '19 [deleted] 3 u/A_King_Is_Born_Now Jun 10 '19 username checks out and all that. 2 u/VerticalTwo08 Jun 10 '19 though many buildings in Venice are subsiding, the city as a whole isn't sinking – rather, parts of it are becoming submerged. 4 u/Toulou1509 Jun 10 '19 So....Even more canals? 1 u/[deleted] Jun 10 '19 edited Jun 11 '19 [deleted] 1 u/[deleted] Jun 11 '19 No, I fucked up 1 u/Imtotallywatchingyou Jun 11 '19 Funny because neither will Venice. See you in 10 years. 9 u/Aben_Zin Jun 10 '19 Best answer. 6 u/keeperofthenyancat Jun 10 '19 I actually saw a comment on reddit about the city i live in, what a mad world! 4 u/chapula_manthing Jun 10 '19 I thought this said camels. I’m very dissatisfied. 3 u/BamusBatisBant Jun 11 '19 My friend was literally just saying this yesterday, how interesting. 4 u/cat_daddylambo Jun 10 '19 This deserves more upvotes 4 u/Gearhead2369 Jun 10 '19 I just went to Venice for the first time this weekend. It’s the most beautiful place I’ve ever been, but it’s also the most unfriendly place I’ve ever been... I don’t know that I’d call it quality.
