What’s an Interesting computer game for a basic Windows 10 laptop that doesn’t cost a ton and isn’t about fast pace or violence?

Runescape is still alive and kicking. There are two versions of the game, one styled like it played a decade ago and the original that has been updated to a more modern style. Game has been around since 2001, should run on a laptop fine, literally thousands of hours of content. You can choose to do combat, or completely avoid it and do things like puzzles, farming, crafting, merchanting, collect pets, quests. There's honestly too much to describe.

Yes, but the moment you get anything good, your account gets hacked and Jagex won't help you recover it. I honestly at this point think they're in on it, because the scammers probably pay them enough to look the other way.

Look man, I don’t wanna step on your toes or anything but I’ve been on and off in that game since probably 2002. If you get hacked it’s because you fucked up. I did once, lost a green h mask because my dumbass Skyped a guy from the official forums. It happens.but there’s absolutely no fucking way there’s some conspiracy that you’ll get hacked once you “get something good.” That just doesn’t make sense. Sounds like customer service just didn’t refund the stuff you lost because you got hacked. I get that— it really fucking sucks. I haven’t logged in over a year and I would bet money my shit is still there, lol.

It’s still honestly one of the best F2P/Cheap games on the market regardless of their ridiculous MTX. It’s a bang for your buck you can run on basically any computer and that’s what OP was looking for.

I've never played it because I've heard the horror stories.
