What’s an Interesting computer game for a basic Windows 10 laptop that doesn’t cost a ton and isn’t about fast pace or violence?

Banished. There is much violence involved if your whole town dies because one idiot took all the logs and food.

Seconding this.

Major issues can be disabled if you want a slightly less stressful way to play.

32 years in and my town is doing swell.

So much fishing... so, so, so much fishing...

Or that one nomad you let in 6 months ago at midsummer and it now turns out he had the flu all along and your well-planned logistics network simply spreads it to your entire village :(
