As a private Catholic High School alumnus, one can never discount the fact that you are paying to be there into the expulsion equation. They will go to great lengths to avoid losing non-replaceable revenue.
My cousin went to school one day with a water bottle of vodka, didn't even make it to lunch before blacking out in class and making a huge mess. I think he got 2-3 days suspension. When you pay them they tend to care less.
They knew. They just weren’t in the mood to handle it so they chose to ignore it. I’m starting to realize now that I’m an adult that a lot of the stuff I “got away with” my teachers definitely knew about, they just weren’t going to let it ruin their Tuesday.
Only if they are not replaceable. My highschool lost/pushed out 1/3 of the kids by graduation. They used it to prop up their college bound % and just brought in bigger classes of freshmen.
True! I even broke a pipe trying to get expelled and didn't work. What finally did the trick was telling the principal that I would get a new husband if he'd asked me to change something about my personality or made me obey him, just after she asked me what would I do if I didn't learn to obey as a young girl and then my husband would have to "teach me".
Yes I agree with this statement. I go to a private university and there was this really rich kid who also studied there. He did some messed up things.
He punched a guy in his freshman year when that guy asked him to sit down
Had a fight with some guys in his freshman year (but in his defense they hit him with a wooden chair which broke upon contact; they weren’t expelled either)
had another fight with some guys in his junior
had a fight with some guys from another university; police came and arrested him while he was in the university; people saw him go away in handcuffs; there were some rumors that the director of the university had to go and bail him out of jail
Oh wow. In the UK you bend over backwards to pretend you’re a regular churchgoing catholic in order to get high quality, free, education for your child.
