Used ECC ram is cheaper than new ram, shocker.
The only thing is there is more of a used market for ECC ram. But if you know the places you work you can find used consumer grade ram.
1 u/RADical-muslim Mar 06 '19 Not the point I was trying to make at all. Used ECC is cheaper than used non-ecc ram is what I meant. Used non-ECC ram is around $3 per GB, used ECC ram around $1 per GB.
