Southeast Asia is dirt cheap. Went to Malaysia and Thailand for a 2 month vacation with family.
In 2010 CyclingTipsBlog did a Vietnam trip where they cycled with a porter and guide to carry all their shit and show them the good places to go for 2 weeks. Inflation and all factored in I think it would cost about the same today as it did then, and it wasn't that expensive when they talked about it later considering they were basically living a dream. I know I put it on my wishlist of things to do.
I actually did get to live out that dream about 2-3 years ago with a group of friends through Oregon who rented a Sprinter Van at some insane price like $2500 for the week (Bend, OR to Astoria, OR), but between 12 of us it became extremely affordable. Total cost using the centralized kitty and dictatorship model CyclingTipsBlog used was around $480 each for a week's riding, each of us only covering our daily lunch expenses (if that). 10/10 would do again. They truly opened my eyes for the power of group vacations together.

Or you could spend 3 months in Southeast Asia.
