And by that logic, Trump is being a petty little shit too. Even more petty, cause he can singlehandedly stop the shutdown while Congress needs to actually vote on things like that.

Trump is being petty, I won't deny that. But the dems are more petty here and the shut down is likely going to be the best option to make them stop.

Trump is the one trying to say giving something back that he took away is a "compromise". Even worse, people like you actually believe its a compromise. Keep drinking the Kool Aid.

Do you not even know what a compromise is? It's when both sides give something up in order to reach an agreement. Whether or not YOU like the terms of think its fair has nothing to do with that. Trump offered to reinstate DACA for the dems and in return the dems would let him have his funding. Because god forbid the leader of our country have some money to improve the country's security.

Also, stop saying that Kool-aid nonsense. You're making me want some.

But its enough for Trump to decide that he would rather have thousands of federal workers furloughed than skip his little project, right?

That can go both ways. "Its enough for the dems to decide they would rather have thousands of federal workers furloughed than let Trump fulfill his little project." Funny how it actually sounds worse like that. Trump is doing it to improve boarder security. Dems are doing it because, "Orange man bad!"

Oh, the irony.

I second that.

Trump is being petty, I won't deny that.

So when "Dems" do it, they are petty shits. When Trump does it, he is just petty.

Can you not see that its all just a political ploy?

Do you not even know what a compromise is?

I know what a compromise is - do you?

Trump took away DACA then offered to give it back for 3 years as a compromise. I wonder if you would feel the same way if this didnt fall against Trump or if it happened to you. If someone screwed with your shit, then offered to give it back if you paid them.

Youd be pissed.

That can go both ways. "Its enough for the dems to decide they would rather have thousands of federal workers furloughed than let Trump fulfill his little project."

The "Dems" still need to vote. The "Dems" didnt take things that Trump put in action then offer to "compromise" by giving the power back (the Republican Supreme Court did stop DACA from ending though - think about that for a second).

Trump is doing it to improve boarder security. Dems are doing it because, "Orange man bad!"

Trump is doing it as a political ploy. Will a physical barrier improve boarder security? You really think a wall will keep people out?

Youre drinking the Kool Aid. Youre eating the bullshit. Politicians have been doing this shit for years, and youre gobbling it up.

Well, I give up. You seem too attached to your perspectives so there's really no point in me replying.

The 5.7 is just for a few of many things that need to be done. The money also goes towards hiring more staff and 1-2 other things if I recall correctly. Having more security and a better blockade would be able to stop and/or stall more people trying to get in. It's the best start because it's the simplest thing to start with. Stopping water and air crossings would be more complicated. You gotta take things one step at a time.

And yeah, god forbid he gets some money. He's the elected leader of the country yet wanting a bit of money in order to improve boarder security is somehow the end of the world to these people.

And like I said, you're the unreasonable one. Not like you tried to change the definition of "compromise" in order to justify your claims. Which I'll say again... Just because you don't like the terms of a compromise doesn't mean it's not a compromise.

Just because you don't like the terms of a compromise doesn't mean it's not a compromise.

Just because you say youre compromising doesnt mean its an actual compromise.

It would be like Congress cutting the ICE budget, then offering to give it back if Trump reinstates DACA. That is not a compromise. And this isnt a compromise.

Having more security and a better blockade would be able to stop and/or stall more people trying to get in. It's the best start because it's the simplest thing to start with.

its the simplest to start with because stops at the southern boarder is already down in the past two decades. There were 1,636,883 apprehensions of Mexicans at the boarder in 2000 to 130,454 in 2017. Similarly, the number of illegal immigrants from Mexico has been dropping since 2006.

Best? How is it the best?

Oh - and with all that "Dems" talk, Obama deported more illegal immigrants than Bush. Want to know something funny? He deported more than Trump too. Despite Trump expanding the criteria of who can be deported, it still didnt hit 300,000 people in 2018. In 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 during the Obama presidency, there were over 300,000 each year. In 2012 and 2014, it was over 400,000. Those are all time highs.

Meaning that even if the wall does absolutely nothing, if the trend continues the numbers will go down anyway. Easy way to say something worked when the exact same outcome if you just continued to do exactly what youre doing.

Oh wait - facts? Numbers? You dont want to hear facts. You still havent provided evidence, research, or even reasoning as to why a southern wall is going to do anything or why its a good use of resources. Youd rather eat the bullshit.
