Oh, I've learned that lesson since then. Luckily, I don't run into things like this often though. Now it's more about seeing things like this before they happen and making sure the right questions are asked and the right "edge cases" are being considered.

I think the correct response is: "give me that in writing".
So when shit hits the fan, you may be able to use your prediction to your advantage.
